New database naming:  Name/Qtr/Year   Example:  Andrew DeMotte 4th Qtr 2013

Quarters: 
1st: October - December
2nd: January - March
3rd: April - June
4th: July - September

Location is default on your hard drive. 
Setup:
Microsoft Access Database
Auto Backup:  After Each Use
Number of Backups: 4
Auto Compress: Never

PDF FILE LOCATION

On Screen Takeoff will download all PDFs in a folder.  Copy the Bid Document PDF from the Bid Documents folder.  Extract pages that are not needed for the takeoff to be completed.  Save this modified PDF in the Takeoff folder. 
W&W STANDARD FILE DIRECTORY:  JOB NAME\SALES\PRECONTRACT\TAKEOFF

To keep things organized and allow recollection as to which set was used to takeoff from - it will be best to keep the original file name of the bid document and simply add OST to the end of the file name.

STANDARD STYLE SET

Estimate System 1  Right click in the conditions window.  Select the option to Insert Style Set.  Then select Estimate System 1.

• Duplicate and rename conditions as needed for your project.  Layers are already set up in the style set.
• Glass conditions - list size in inches and glass type (using the architect's nomenclature helps) as the condition name
